The wait in the emergency room was over 6 hours. After waiting we approached the desk to ask about test results to which we were told that those cannot be discussed without a doctor. I stated the concern we had with the wait and the nurse asked what we came in for. I explained the reason for our visit and she looked up our name to then say well you have a room to go to so that should help you. It felt very dismissive and as if us asking about our visit was an inconvenience. Once we were placed in a room it was 25 minutes before anyone came in. The Dr came in and was very cold towards our concerns and had a cold unmoved bedside manner. She as well had us feeling that this abnormal occurrence that we came in for was not necessary to bother her with. She also told us that she didn’t understand why they wasted our time with a CT because that’s not helpful for diagnosing why we came in. She also said numerous times that we could go home and that she hoped the problem subsided. As if “hope” is a cure or a fix! There was not one person who we encountered, except who checked us in over 8 hours ago, who had a pleasant demeanor and actually made us feel like they cared about us. The hospital is something to be desired and needs to do a better job when it comes to CARE!

It’s also disgusting to see the precious patients urine specimen and lab tubes left in a room that was supposed to be clean and ready for us, a new patient.

I took my wife to the ER yesterday for irregular heartbeat and chest pain. The entire staff in the ER were very attentive, pleasant, and professional. In particular, we were assigned to Ms. MICHELLE SMITH as the Registered Nurse (RN). Not only Ms. Smith was very professional in everything she did, my wife and I both strongly believe that she was amazingly courteous and helpful. In spite of the many patients Ms. Smith was assigned to, she showed ultimate diligence and consideration, as she was practically coming into the room constantly to make sure that my wife is comfortable and feeling better. Ms. Smith contacted all the necessary staff (for blood work and X-ray) and the attending doctor to ensure that everything was done and completed efficiently. Ms. Smith was so pleasant and courteous that she made us feel as if we had known her for years or we were part of her immediate family. We cannot express our gratitude and appreciation enough for Ms. MICHELLE SMITH for her professional attitude and wonderful personality.
Thank you Ms. Smith and Silver Cross for such an amazing experience.

Had a terrible experience here. The ICU nurse’s majority of the time were sweet and patient. But the entrance receptionists of the hospital are unbelievably sour, unhappy with their job. Sometimes we feel racially profiled by these receptionists that are not POC. And for a hospital to be rated a “ #1 hospital in the USA” (which is false because I searched it up) you shouldn’t be having a 2.5 star review but with my experience its well deserved. With much love I have for the nurses for being so attentive and listening to his needs. But the front staff, the faces of the entrance of the hospital should be retrained on customer service, body language, and kind interactions.

Also this hospital to be named #1 and in the top 100s is a joke. Your rank is 148 which makes sense for the lack of respect the secretaries have and the lack of empathy and understanding the doctors have. They also need to be retrained in communicating with humans. We understand that the medical system broke you but you do not respond to questions with “we don’t have a crystal ball”. You say “at this time it is to early to tell what what is going to happen but for now this is all we know…” do you see how much of a difference it makes to formulate your sentences kindly and with caution.

Then the complaints from the surgeons and doctors are apologetic because they only slept for three hours. That is not the clients and client's family problem that you’re tired. As an adult in the Industry of many years you should already understand you chose this job and how many hours you would get of sleep. Please be for real. If you lack passion for this job when it comes to communicating with the patients and the family then leave the industry.

I’m absolutely an angered by the front staff and the security. This feels more like a prison than a hospital. I cannot wait to move my loved one to a different hospital with a staff much more tending and caring to poc. The people at the front need reevaluating and retake HR courses again because I’m tired of looking at them giggle upon each other all happy and when poc (because I’ve been observing their weird behavior) they put on stank face.

Do better and hire better people. #148 should be updated to #200.
